Linklaters, the Magic Circle law firm, needed a complete overhaul of their digital brand and corporate website. The project spanned 12 months and kicked-off with an intensive work on the information architecture, user flow and user personas.

The outcome

An atomic design system was used to maintain consistency across the numerous UI elements and help navigation through the different type of content. Through the years a catalogue of new design elements and functionalities was created to give flexibility to the content team.
This later evolved into a full ecosystem of sister sites, each with a distinct but relatable design language, including a knowledge portal, careers site and alumni site. Each site included innovative solutions such as the ‘Match Me’ tool for student placements, and the multi-tier knowledge portal that tailors content according to the type of relationship that the user has with Linklaters.
Overall the programme successfully established a unique and instantly recognisable brand for Linklaters, and helped raised the time on site of 36%.  This project was awarded at the Digital Impact Awards and was shortlisted for the Drum DADI Awards.
